Hello everyone,

I’m thrilled to announce a new and improved update to my blog schedule! Just like the best-laid plans of bus timetables, our schedule will now feature new posts three times a week, every Monday at 9:00 AM, Wednesday at 1:00 PM, and Friday at 7:00 PM.

Why This Change?

By increasing our posting frequency, I hope to provide you with more timely and relevant content throughout the week. Whether you’re looking for insightful articles in the morning, a midweek read during your lunch break, or some evening inspiration before the weekend, my blog will be your trusty companion—almost as reliable as your favourite bus route.

What Can You Expect?

Here’s a snapshot of what’s coming up:

In-Depth Articles

Expect thorough explorations of various public transport topics. These posts will tackle industry trends, operational challenges, and innovative solutions—think of them as the “express” routes to understanding the public transport world.

Personal Stories

I’ll also share personal experiences and lessons from the daily grind of public transport. These stories are meant to be as relatable and engaging as a friendly chat with your favourite bus driver.

Ad Hoc Posts: Because Life’s Not Always on Time!

Just like your bus might occasionally show up a bit late, there will be spontaneous ad hoc posts covering timely topics, breaking news, or unexpected developments in the public transport world. These will pop up between our regular updates, keeping things fresh and relevant. Think of these as the unscheduled stops on our blog journey—always a surprise and occasionally a delight!

Scheduled Times and Content Availability

Please note that the above times are when I plan to share new content. If I don’t have something ready for you—perhaps due to unexpected research delays, ongoing industry developments requiring more time for thorough analysis, or even the occasional technical hiccup—there may not be a post. I appreciate your understanding as I strive to maintain quality over quantity.

Heat Wave Claims Its First Casualty (And Karma Was Driving)

The summer heat has arrived, and with it comes strange sights. Driving through the city exposes you to humanity at its best, worst, and occasionally flattest. Today, I witnessed what may well be the first official casualty of Edinburgh's latest heat wave. The summer heat has finally landed in Edinburgh, and as every bus driver knows, once the temperature climbs above "pleasant", the city starts behaving differently. Driving in the city exposes you to all sorts. Tempers shorten. Shirts disappear. Folk suddenly decide that crossing the road without looking is an acceptable life choice because, apparently, heatstroke doubles as a traffic management strategy. Today, however, I witnessed what I can only describe as the first casualty of the recent heat wave. As I approached one of the city's many bus stops that have mysteriously evolved into unofficial loading bays, I spotted a familiar sight: a delivery lorry parked squarely in the stop while its driver carried out a drop...
